Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) has taken a stand against the Iranian regime by leading a group of 145 Representatives in introducing a bipartisan resolution. The resolution condemns the Iranian regime for its internal suppression of citizens, sponsorship of global terrorism, and involvement in regional proxy wars.

In a statement, Rep. Weber emphasized the need for immediate action against the tyrannical regime in Tehran, stating, "Decades of a tyrannical regime in Tehran—destabilizing the Middle East and intentionally spreading chaos throughout the region—has culminated in Iran’s direct attack on our greatest ally, Israel. The rogue regime needs to be overthrown immediately."

Furthermore, Rep. Weber expressed his support for the citizens of Iran who have been striving to remove the current regime from power, saying, "Now, more than ever, the United States must support the freedom-loving citizens of Iran who have spent decades trying to eject these murderers from power in Tehran. Today, we condemn the godless mullahs who epitomize the head of the snake of war and terror in the Middle East. I am proud to lead 145 of my colleagues in bipartisan support of the establishment of a democratic, secular, and nonnuclear Republic of Iran."

The bipartisan resolution has garnered support from a wide array of U.S. Representatives, including Alma Adams (NC-12), Rick Allen (GA-12), Mark Amodei (NV-2), and many others listed in the legislation.

The introduction of this resolution marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to address the actions of the Iranian regime and support the aspirations of the Iranian people for a democratic and peaceful future.
